Hi! I’m Jessica! Thanks for stopping by!

Our Simply Abundant Life was started with one thing in mind – point to Jesus. Life is messy and beautiful all at the same time. Daily I’m handing the hard stuff over to God and doing my best to surround myself with community that lets me be real and vulnerable about life. The Lord is doing exceedingly abundantly more than I asked or imagined in my marriage and in my heart and my desire is to see other women encouraged in the same way my community and the Lord have encouraged me.

I write to love. To serve. To encourage. This blog is for all of us – those who are broken, lonely, in the trenches, looking for community, seeking biblical encouragement and desiring to see the Lord work through us.

Blogging is only a small part of my week – I work as a full time administrative assistant and Sunday operations coordinator at my church and have the privilege of teaching several flute students each week. I love good food, long runs, and process & organization. Total type-A girl here!  I tend to be an introvert over extrovert but love deep, meaningful, conversations over a good cup of coffee.

I’m married to my worship-music loving, disc-golf playing, seminary student husband, Eldon.

We’ve been married a little over 4 years and love leading worship together, road-biking, and cooking. Our favorite days start with a slow morning of reading & coffee, a bike ride to TCBY, dinner on the grill, and good conversation around the fire pit!

  1. I Just read several of your posts and didn’t know which to comment on, I related to so many! Your writing is truly gifted, Jessica, and I’m looking forward to reading much more! The perspective through which you write everything points to Jesus and encourages me to keep pursuing Him more. Thank you for liking a post of mind so that God could lead me here! So much I needed to hear tonight through your blog. Blessings!
